Job Description

We have an urgent requirement for a Mobile App Developer on a contract basis in Sydney/Melbourne. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms, collaborating with UI/UX designers, and ensuring application performance and security compliance.

Requirements

• Proven experience in mobile development for Android (Java/Kotlin) and/or iOS (Swift/Objective-C).
• Familiarity with cross-platform frameworks (Flutter, React Native) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX principles.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON data handling.
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Must design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive and responsive interfaces.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Integrate APIs and third-party services into mobile applications.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues across devices.
• Ensure application security and compliance with platform guidelines.
• Conduct unit testing and participate in code reviews.
• Stay updated with the latest mobile development trends and technologies.

Good to have:

• Experience with cloud services (Firebase, AWS, Azure).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Understanding of mobile security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the applications.
• Working with the offshore team to produce reliable and stable solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Interacting with customer Tech leads and business users and driving assigned work.
• Managing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and ensuring they are met.
• Liaising with clients and users to identify and address problems.
• Ensuring project quality work meets defined governance, process standards, and best practices.
• Ability to see the bigger picture and make strategic decisions.

Additional Information

Duration: 6 Months with a possible extension.
