Job Description

This is a W2 contract position for a Python Developer to work remotely with a duration of 12 months. The preferred locations are Chicago, Peoria, or Colorado, but remote work is also acceptable. The role involves software development, data processing, visualization, and SQL querying using Python, NumPy, pandas, Matplotlib, Plotly, and more. The developer will work on Electrification projects and simulation optimization.

Requirements

Applicants must have a college degree in Computer Science with 7+ years of experience or a Master’s/Ph.D. with 5+ years of experience. Additionally, 10+ years of Python development experience, strong backend algorithm skills, and familiarity with Git/Azure DevOps are required. Experience with tools like Simpy/Numpy, Git, AWS, and Azure is also necessary. Ideal candidates should have knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, QA testing processes, and SQL querying. Experience with Discrete Event Simulation (e.g., SimPy) is a plus.

Soft Skills

The candidate should possess strong communication skills, be an independent worker, and have teamwork/collaboration abilities. Proficiency in PowerPoint, office tools, and Azure DevOps is desirable.

Additional Information

The position requires working in an office/home environment. The job type is Contract and Temporary with a salary range of $49.91 - $55.00 per hour. Applicants must be US Citizens or Green Card holders and residents of specified locations to be eligible. Relevant experience includes 10 years in Python and 5 years in backend algorithms. The work location is remote.
