Location: Durham, NC

Contract: Temporary, Full-time

Job Description

This is a Hybrid role, some local travel may be required in performance of the work.

Senior UI/UX Designer to improve our applications into user-friendly products for our clients. The responsibilities of this role will include the following:

  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product owners and engineers.
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps.
  • Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets.
  • Build page navigation buttons and search fields.
  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like.
  • Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches, and tables).
  • Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness).
  • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback.
  • Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role Required 7 Years
  • Proven experience working on a variety of design projects involving web-based applications Required 7 Years
  • Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Wireframe.cc and InVision) Required 5 Years
  • Up-to-date knowledge and hands-on working experience of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop Required 5 Years
  • Ability to develop relationships/partnerships with customers by responding to needs and exhibiting a sense of urgency; independently identify options. Required 7 Years
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow complex and/or detailed technical procedures. Required 7 Years
  • Business knowledge and experience implementing SNAP and other federal programs as per the policy requirements Highly desired 7 Years
  • Experience designing applications using the social services products Highly desired 5 Years
  • Experience designing and/or developing dashboards using Power BI Highly desired 4 Years
  • Experience with Agile (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) development Highly desired 3 Years
  • Experience designing applications using low code no code technologies like Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, and others Highly desired 2 Years
  • Knowledgeable in DevOps practices and Shift Left testing Highly desired 2 Years
