Job Description
If you enjoy high-level social media and communication projects, providing information about the military health system to beneficiaries around the world, Serco has an opportunity for a Social Media Specialist. You will work with the Defense Health Agency (DHA) in Falls Church, VA to develop, manage, and analyze social media platforms in support of the DHA’s communications goals. As part of the Strategic Communications (STRATCOM) Directorate, you will collaborate with a team to deliver effective content to various audiences through different media outlets.
- Develop content and strategies for DHA social media platforms
- Analyze social media reach and impact
- Create key messaging for senior leaders
- Collaborate with various teams for consistent messaging
- Contribute to reports for leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in strategic communications, public affairs, or social media management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
- Pass background check and drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Understanding of military health organizations
- Experience with DHA, VHA, or DoD communications
- Experience analyzing communications reach and effect
- Comfort working at client offices and participating in internal strategy sessions
- Experience supporting senior military and political leaders
