Job Description

AZAD Technology Partners is seeking a DevOps Engineer for a full-time, W2 Contract position based in Deerfield, IL. The engineer will lead efforts to migrate and improve commercial digital products for a spin-off separation, ensuring the quality, integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of product migrations between public cloud provider accounts.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute application migration activities.
• Provide status updates to senior leadership.
• Work with Operations to define, practice, and execute migration plans.
• Coordinate with developers and R&D leadership to minimize impact of migration activities.
• Upgrade VueJS single-page micro-frontend applications and NodeJS microservices.
• Migrate medical IoT devices.
• Identify and document improvement opportunities as applications are migrated.
• Develop scripts for automated testing of applications and database migration activities.
• Generate technical documentation capturing deployed state of digital products.
• Estimate and track work following Agile methodology.
• Work within a 24-hour delivery cycle with engineers in India development center.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10 years of experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, IoT devices, and mTLS.
• Experience with regulated products and hosting applications on public cloud providers.
• Strong understanding of Change Control and Configuration Management concepts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in Agile development teams and ability to drive projects to completion.
• Application debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle, CI/CD, and quick acumen of new technologies.

Additional Information

• Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, Hybrid.
• Assignment Duration: 10 Months with possibility of extending.
• Compensation & Benefits: Between $67.50 - $73.50 hourly, with benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, 401k, and Paid Time Off options.
