Job Description

The Department of Biomedical and Health Informatics is seeking a skilled Web/UI Developer to join the Data Analytics & Management Team. The ideal candidate should have a strong working knowledge of UI libraries and tools, expertise in building components that interface with secure REST APIs, and experience creating specialized data visualization components for scientific web portals.

Key responsibilities include designing and creating interface components, building single-page applications for medical and scientific information, creating custom visualization components for diverse data, collaborating with research scientists and clinicians, and staying updated with new developments in the field.

Requirements

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills within a multi-disciplinary team

- Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects

- Experience with software design principles, Agile methodology, Unix, and various technologies including Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, REST, AJAX, JSON/XML, and more as listed in the job description

Education and Experience

- High School Diploma / GED Required

- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

- At least three (3) years of experience in software/UI development

- Level 2A - No Covid Vax Required

Other Information

- Location: Philadelphia, PA 19104, primarily remote with occasional onsite work

- Contract: 6 Month contract (temp to perm)

- Shifts: Minimum 20 hrs/week, average 25 hrs/week, flexible working hours coordinated with department staff

- Pay Rate: $38 per hour on W2
