Job Description:

The Software Engineer II plans and performs tasks related to software requirements analysis, software architecture and design, implementation, documentation, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and software verification testing.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in C++ programming.
• Experience with Linux/Unix and VxWorks operating systems.
• Familiarity with Git and JIRA for configuration management.
• Strong background in object-oriented design and development.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with current computer applications and technologies in engineering disciplines.
• Ability to solve basic technical design and development problems.
• Capability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships for resolving technical issues.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in real-time embedded software development and/or software testing.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Familiarity with relevant military and commercial design standards.
• UML modeling, experience with UML modeling tool.
• Familiarity with Bradley functionality and capability.
• Familiarity with DOORS.
• Familiarity with CMMI for development.
• Familiarity with embedded systems.

Required Experience & Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.

Additional Information:

This role is for a 5-month contract with potential for permanent position conversion, and the hourly rate is up to $49/hr (W2, non-benefited). Applicants must be US Citizens to apply.
