Job Description:

KCBS2/KCAL9 TV in Los Angeles is looking for a per diem/freelance Associate Digital Line Producer to support the Local Los Angeles live streaming network. The role involves producing multimedia content for all digital platforms and collaborating with senior managers and digital line producers.

• Exercise editorial judgment in content selection.
• Write copy for anchor and reporter voices.
• Research and write questions for anchors.
• Write banners and quotes during breaking news.
• Pitch and execute special feature and recurring segments.
• Edit shows and stories for digital platforms.

Requirements & Education:

• Minimum 2 years of work experience in broadcast and digital.
• 1-2 years’ experience in the control room.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle deadline pressure.
• Strong communication skills and time management.
• Familiarity with digital video production and online content management.
• Knowledge of social media and the digital news environment.
• Basic video editing skills.
• Availability to work weekend mornings and afternoons.
