Job Description:

KCBS/KCAL is looking for a creative and dedicated Camera technician with great multitasking and storytelling abilities. The primary duty of this camera technician will involve shooting quality, compelling, and creative visual content, working with News Reporters and Producers. The ideal candidate should be adaptable and nimble enough to capture fleeting moments, proficient in shooting, lighting, and editing to bring compelling stories to life. Responding to breaking news stories is also required, contributing to original reporting, enterprise stories, and working well under pressure to meet deadlines.

Requirements:

• Valid US driver’s license with unrestricted ability to drive and travel domestically and internationally.
• Ability to lift 50 plus lbs. of newsgathering equipment.
• Must be available to work weekends, long hours, or varying shifts for production and broadcast deadlines.
• Proficient with streaming technologies Dejero and LiveU.
• Able to travel for assignments lasting days or weeks, including potentially hostile environments.

Additional Information:

Hiring Salary Range: $66.3113/hour

The hiring salary range for this position applies to various geographies, and starting pay depends on factors like geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
