Job Description

BBC Studios is a world-renowned content studio and channel & streaming business, driven by British creativity, reaching audiences globally. EMEA Creative, a part of BBC Studios’ award-winning in-house creative agency, produces brands, multi-platform advertising campaigns, and social content for the BBC’s international services. The Creative Artworker/Designer for the EMEA region will be responsible for creating high-quality visual materials that align with the team’s objectives.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Generate insight-driven ideas in collaboration with the Senior Designer.
• Create effective visual material for various channels such as digital, social, print, and out-of-home.
• Ensure consistency with brand identity and high production standards.
• Assist in design referencing, mock-ups, and presentations for reviews.
• Collaborate with the creative team to develop innovative visual solutions.
• Edit and retouch images to enhance visuals.
• Develop photography briefs for key art and campaigns.
• Manage multiple projects for timely delivery of materials.
• Integrate feedback constructively and refine work to meet standards.
• Continuously improve design skills using Adobe Creative Suite.
• Create user-friendly design templates for team use.
• Ensure creative work is culturally sensitive to EMEA regions.
• Support junior team members by sharing expertise.

Key Criteria

• Conceptual skills: Ability to translate design briefs into visual executions.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Attention to Detail: Commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Design skills: Deep understanding of composition, layout, and typography.
• Artwork skills: Strong knowledge of retouching and image compositing.
• Time Management: Organizational skills to manage multiple projects.
• Feedback Skills: Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills for effective collaboration.
• Experience: Background in a Design/Creative Artworker role within a creative agency or design studio.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with international or diverse audiences.
• Motion design skills (not necessary but a plus).
