Job Description
The TES Photographer and Videographer at Auburn University is responsible for producing, developing, and archiving photographic and video documentation of Recreation and Wellness programs, services, and events. This role creates consistent, high-quality content to enhance the visual identity and brand in alignment with established departmental and university standards. Assignments may take place onsite, on location, and often after standard business hours.
Responsibilities
- Utilizes professional knowledge and artistic judgement to deliver high-quality photography and video for various programs and events.
- Creates engaging photography and video to increase reach, engagement, and participation among students.
- Maintains a comprehensive photography and video library, efficiently labeling and archiving all images.
- Plans and executes promotional photo and video shoots for Recreation and Wellness programs.
- Operates and maintains all photography and video equipment and accessories.
- Edits all image and video formats based on placement (web, news, social media, and print).
- Archives/uploads completed media in a timely manner.
- Performs digital work including scanning, cropping, color correction, and retouching.
- Maintains a digital file library for historical documentation and future use.
- Mentors and trains student workers in photography, videography, and editing.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge of photo and video editing software, specifically the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and Lightroom).
Desired Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of After Effects and Adobe Illustrator.
- 2-3 years of professional experience in photography, videography, or digital marketing.

This position falls under Temporary Employment Services (TES) at Auburn University, which is designed to meet the university’s temporary staffing needs. TES may provide assistance during employee absences, peak workloads, special projects, seasonal work, or emergencies. Note that AU student employees are not eligible for TES positions.
