Job Description

Linklaters is a global law firm, with 31 offices in 21 countries. The firm is recognized for its commitment to gender equality, LGBTQ+ inclusion, and social mobility. The technology team is looking for a User Experience (UX) Designer to join their friendly and dynamic international Development team, which is responsible for developing bespoke software and integrations. This hands-on role involves designing and improving user experiences, particularly in relation to generative AI products, through strong collaboration with end users, lawyers, and business teams.

Requirements

Experience: A minimum of 4 yearsโ€™ experience in UX design with a portfolio showcasing successful projects.

Skills: Proficient in prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or InVision; strong understanding of user-centered design and UX principles; effective communication and stakeholder management; a self-learner passionate about new technologies and concepts.

Additional Experience: Prior experience in designing data products, AI, or complex systems. Strong decision-making skills in time-critical situations and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Expectations of the Role

  • Lead UX Design ensuring products are intuitive, accessible, and user-friendly.
  • Create journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs aligned with user personas.
  • Utilise data-informed approaches incorporating user feedback and market research into the design process.
  • Advocate for UX best practices and contribute to developing internal design systems.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, effectively communicating design ideas.
  • Oversee personal task management to ensure timely and expected delivery of work assignments.
  • Drive continuous improvement through evaluating new tools and UX trends.
  • Define and articulate design strategies in collaboration with development colleagues.
  • Collaborate effectively with geographically distributed, cross-functional teams.
