Job Description
Welcome to Warner Bros. Discovery… the stuff dreams are made of. Anderson Cooper 360 is seeking a talented Temporary Associate Producer to join the team in New York, NY! The Associate Producer (Temporary) for CNN’s AC360 works closely with show producers to find the best video and elements for segments and packages. Responsibilities include cutting soundbites and VOs, producing in-house packages, ordering and creating graphics, and managing pretaped interviews. The Associate Producer is responsible for calling elements in the control room, pitching package and guest ideas, assisting producers with research, and ensuring proper sourcing of video.
The Associate Producer must code video, create banners, and work under tight deadlines while collaborating in the control room with writers, line producers, and senior producers. Regular extended schedules may be required due to the news cycle.
Requirements
• A Bachelor’s degree in journalism or related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three (3+) years of experience in network television or major-market news production.
• Newsroom and live control room experience preferred.
• Familiarity with CNN video databases, such as Mediasource, is very helpful.
• Graphics production experience, including experience with the “Viz Pilot” graphics device, is helpful.
• Non-linear video editing experience is important.
• Must demonstrate strong research skills.
• Must be team-oriented, able to take direction from producers and control room personnel, and capable of meeting deadlines in high-pressure situations.
• Must be computer literate, possess strong internet research skills, and the ability to learn internal digital video archives.
Benefits
Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. The pay range for this role is $55,226.00 - $102,563.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
