Job Description
Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a talented Temporary Associate Producer for CNN’s AC360 in New York, NY. The Associate Producer will work closely with show producers to identify the best video and elements for segments and packages within CNN systems and elsewhere. Responsibilities include cutting soundbites and VOs, producing in-house packages, ordering and creating graphics, and cutting down pretaped interviews. The Associate Producer will call elements in the control room, pitch package and guest ideas, assist producers with research for guest segments, and collaborate with rights and clearances and assignment desks to ensure proper sourcing of videos. The role demands the ability to code video, create banners, and operate under tight deadlines while working extended hours as needed.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three (3+) years of experience in network television or major-market news production.
- Experience in a newsroom and live control room is preferred.
- Familiarity with CNN video databases such as Mediasource is very helpful.
- Graphics production experience, specifically with the “Viz Pilot” graphics device, is beneficial.
- Experience with non-linear video editing is important.
- Must demonstrate strong research skills.
- Must be team-oriented and able to take direction from producers and control room personnel.
- Capable of meeting deadlines and functioning calmly in high-pressure situations, including breaking news.
- Must be computer literate and have strong internet research skills, along with the ability to learn internal digital video archives.
Benefits
The total compensation package at Warner Bros. Discovery includes a base pay range of $55,226.00 - $102,563.00 per year, along with potential annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
