Job Description

Vermont Afterschool (VTA) seeks proposals for digital video production services to create an approximately 10-minute scripted instructional video highlighting key components of quality afterschool programs. The video will be filmed at multiple locations in Vermont, featuring interviews with program directors and showcasing B-roll footage along with appropriate background music. VTA will act as the producer, managing scheduling and conducting interviews, while the chosen videographer will be responsible for technical advice, filming, and editing the final product.

Requirements

The videographer must meet the following requirements:

  • Ability to manage pre-production technical advice for video development.
  • Expertise in setting up individual shots with optimal sound, video, and lighting.
  • Experience in filming interviews and editing audio and video clips.
  • Capability to deliver a first rough cut of the video by an agreed-upon deadline and allow for multiple rounds of edits.
  • Provision of final digital files for the finished video (with closed captioning) and raw footage from the shoot.
  • Assignment of all present and future rights to the materials produced during the project to VTA.
  • Availability for concept and development meetings as needed.

Proposal Requirements

Interested proposals must include the following:

  • A brief bio or overview of the company.
  • Samples of relevant work and references from previous clients.
  • Discussion of experience with similar projects.
  • List of capabilities, assets, and resources for the project.
  • Indication of any subcontracting plans.
  • An itemized and total cost for specified services.
