Job Description
The client is seeking a UX Designer in Vienna, VA/Hybrid. The UX Designer will shape product experiences by creating useful, meaningful content to help users complete their tasks. The role involves setting the vision for content and driving cohesive product narratives across multiple platforms and touch points. The designer will manage user experience writing workflows, maintain deadlines, and ensure timely deliverables to the design team. Additionally, they will work independently on moderately complex projects, participate in the evolution of user experience messaging strategy, and recommend solutions that support user experience while meeting brand guidelines.
Responsibilities include designing, writing, editing, testing, and improving content across various platforms, developing content strategies, utilizing storytelling skills, managing content guidelines, conducting content audits, collaborating with partners across disciplines, and advocating for content best practices. The designer will research messaging problems and originate innovative approaches to user experience messaging.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of UX Content Design, UX writing, or Content Strategy experience.
- Advanced project management skills.
- Ability to lead and mentor others.
- Advanced verbal and visual communication skills.
- Strong detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to apply analytical, creative, visual, and critical thinking.
- Advanced writing and editing skills.
- Experience with user-centered design processes and best practices.
- Knowledge of modern development standards (e.g., HTML, CSS, AJAX).
- Knowledge of web, mobile, and application design best practices.
- Desired: Master’s degree in relevant fields.
- Desired: Knowledge of the financial services industry.
- Desired: Human Factors Institute Certified Analyst.
- 5+ years of UX design experience.
