Contract: Full-time, Part-time

Job Description

We are currently looking for a Social Media Manager to join the team at the Scottish SPCA. This role will be remote working with regular travel to Scottish SPCA Headquarters in Dunfermline. The position involves working 35 hours per week with a salary of £33,651 per annum on a permanent contract. As Scotland’s animal welfare charity, the Scottish SPCA has been protecting animals and preventing cruelty since 1839, celebrating the human-animal bond and enriching the lives of animals and people.

Requirements

To be a successful Social Media Manager, you should possess:

  • Strong experience in management of social media content creation processes.
  • An eye and ear for compelling storytelling and effective video content demonstration.
  • Strong knowledge of brand ambassador and influencer marketing, with demonstrated experience managing these programs.
  • Advanced knowledge of social media management platforms and tools for scheduling, monitoring, and gaining insights from deliverables.
  • An understanding of recent social media trends and the ability to apply them into the social media strategy.
  • Extensive experience in managing a multi-channel social media strategy on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, and LinkedIn.

Additional Information

The role involves:

  • Developing a social media strategy, insights, and plans that support society-wide objectives.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to build effective social media strategies to meet growth objectives.
  • Creating a content plan for engaging and effective storytelling.
  • Driving brand awareness and engagement metrics to attract and build social media followers.
  • Managing monthly reporting on key engagement metrics and actionable feedback from followers.
  • Developing and delivering a brand ambassador and influencer programme, including identifying candidates and building relationships with partners.
  • Line management of two colleagues who support content creation and day-to-day social media plan delivery.
