Job Description

The Part-time Designer is an expert in custom space design with extensive knowledge of storage and organization solutions and products offered at The Container Store. This position serves as a role model focused on exceptional customer service while displaying excellent selling skills. Work schedules may include daytime, evenings, and weekends, and the position is hourly and non-exempt.

Requirements

• College degree preferred
• 2-5 years sales and clientele experience preferred
• Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the required dress code
• Knowledge and passion for trends in the custom spaces and retail industry
• Strong computer skills: proficiency in Outlook, Word, and knowledge of Excel and Salesforce or Customer Relations Management tools
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and maintain safety
• Commitment to working scheduled hours with flexibility to work additional hours as needed
• Clear and effective communication skills, both orally and in writing, with individuals at all levels
• Ability to prioritize mission-critical tasks while focusing on the most value-added projects
• Flexible, with a positive attitude and a passion for knowledge
• Strong time management and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Attention to detail while working quickly and accurately under pressure
• Ability to make strategic and effective decisions beneficial for customers and the company
