Job Description

This is a project/limited term position with an estimated duration of up to 12 months. The freelance fantasy content creator will be responsible for providing original digital content on news and events for multiple sports, including but not limited to the NBA and WNBA.

Key responsibilities include writing original and insightful posts, producing timely and concise fantasy analysis on breaking news, injuries, and game results, providing fantasy analysis for video content, brainstorming creative content approaches, and collaborating with NBC Sports writers to ensure comprehensive coverage.

Requirements

Basic Requirements

• Strong editorial judgment and engagement with multiple sports properties
• Minimum one year experience in a sports writing capacity
• Familiarity with and experience in fantasy sports writing
• Comfortable with using fantasy terminology in copy
• Excellent writing skills (submission of writing samples required)

Desired Characteristics

• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
• Ability to follow major storylines across multiple sports
• Strong comfort level with video and audio editorial presentation
• Strong editorial sensibilities and news judgment
• Familiarity with AP style and web-authoring tools

Job Highlights
