Now Hiring: Temporary UX/UI Designer at FedPoint. Are you passionate about creating accessible, intuitive digital experiences? Join our dynamic Digital Platforms & User Experience team as a Temporary UX/UI Designer and help us build inclusive, beautiful, and effective customer-facing self-service websites.

As a UX/UI Designer & Accessibility Specialist, you’ll use your creative design skills to ensure our websites are usable, intuitive, and compliant. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team on everything from wireframes and prototypes to usability testing and accessibility audits. This is a temporary role—but your impact will be lasting.

Responsibilities

• Design visually engaging, user-friendly, and accessible digital interfaces across web and mobile platforms.

• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform and validate design decisions.

• Create and maintain design assets: wireframes, personas, user journeys, prototypes, and more.

• Collaborate on accessibility audits, compliance reporting, and testing with tools like WAVE, ANDI, and JAWS/NVDA.

• Use insights from analytics and feedback to improve user journeys and content strategy.

• Contribute to and evolve FedPoint’s design system and style guides.

Requirements

• 1+ years working in UX/UI design and web accessibility.

• Proficiency with Figma, Sketch, or similar design tools.

• Familiarity with HTML/CSS/JavaScript and basic ARIA practices.

• Experience in agile environments and cross-functional collaboration.

• Strong skills in visual design (typography, layout, color theory) is a plus.

• UX writing or content strategy experience is a plus.

• Experience working with government or regulated digital platforms is a plus.

Additional Information

Location: Portsmouth (Hybrid) - 2 days per week in the office.

Duration: Temporary - (estimated 6 months).
