Job Description

Duration: 6+ Months Contract with possible extension. The role will require the individual to work in the office a minimum of 1 day per week, potentially increasing to 3 days per week during critical project phases. Responsibilities include:

• Understanding latest trends and making important architecture decisions.
• Understanding integrations and associated technologies for new applications integrating with different vendors and media portals.
• Leading Proof of Concepts (POCs), defining architecture, and being a core member in decision-making.
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining UI infrastructure for reliable and scalable streaming content delivery.
• Leading design, development, and planning for the software architecture of the Web platform.
• Solving complex performance problems and architectural challenges.
• Performing code reviews and mentoring peers.
• Ensuring consistency with established software development architecture.
• Analyzing and interpreting requirements from Business and UX design team.
• Introducing new technologies and processes to solve business problems.
• Maintaining quality and security of the platform while working in an Agile environment.
• Designing Streaming Architecture and managing Content Delivery Network (CDN).
• Applying communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to improve IT and Business investments.

Requirements

Required skills and experience include:

• Streaming technology experience.
• 5+ years of experience in application design, development, installation, and modification of web applications.
• 5+ years of experience in developing in JavaScript with React JS v16 & 17, Redux, Webpack, and ES6 or equivalent experience.
• Advanced knowledge of development methodologies, software design, design patterns, and integration standards in coding and testing cycles.
• Advanced knowledge of software engineering processes like versioning control (using GitHub), software packaging, and release management.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in triage or analysis of production support situations.
• Capable of on-time delivery with minimal supervision.
• Experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Git/GitHub, TeamCity or equivalent configuration tools.
• DevOps experience using AWS tools and knowledge of cloud technologies AWS, including Akamai CDN.
• Experience with UI analytics tools (Google Analytics, Quantum Metrics) and app performance tools (Dynatrace).
• Familiarity with React JS, OOO, UI Architecture, AWS Cloud, Streaming Architecture.
