Job Description

Falkirk Council is seeking an exceptional individual to lead on Marketing as part of the dedicated team working on HippFest 2026. HippFest is Scotland’s first and only festival of silent film with live music, inspired by Scotland’s oldest cinema. This role is crucial for increasing the Festival’s audience and fulfilling its strategic ambitions.

Your responsibilities will include planning, budgeting, and executing the Festival’s strategic marketing plan. You will oversee the creation of marketing content and materials, manage email campaigns, monitor ticket sales in collaboration with the Box Office, and supervise a freelance designer. Additionally, you will ensure that HippFest webpages are up-to-date and collaborate closely with the team leads on Digital Content and PR to develop digital advertising campaigns and generate PR coverage.

HippFest has secured Creative Scotland Multi-Year funding for 2025-2028.

Requirements

Fee: £13,560 - £18,306 (113 days @ £120 - £162 p/d), (FTE 0.4) (£27,120 - £36,612 per annum pro rata).

Term: Temporary contract from 1 Sep 2025 to 31 Aug 2026.

Place of Work: Remote working with the option to use Council offices.
