Job Description

Falkirk Council is seeking an exceptional individual to lead marketing efforts as part of the dedicated team working on HippFest 2026, Scotland’s first and only festival of silent film with live music. This remote role, with the option to use Council offices, is crucial for increasing the Festival’s audience and achieving its strategic ambitions. The position involves the planning, budgeting, and delivery of the Festival’s marketing plan, overseeing marketing content and materials, managing email campaigns, monitoring ticket sales, liaising with Box Office, and managing a freelance designer. Additionally, the role includes maintaining and updating HippFest webpages, and collaborating with team leads on Digital Content and PR to enhance digital advertising and PR coverage.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess strong marketing skills, experience in project management, and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment. They must demonstrate a proven track record in creating effective marketing strategies and content, as well as experience with digital marketing, PR, and audience development.

Additional Information

Fee: £13,560 - £18,306 (113 days @ £120 - £162 p/d), equivalent to an FTE of 0.4 (£27,120 - £36,612 per annum pro rata).

Term: Temporary contract from 1 Sep 2025 to 31 Aug 2026.
