Job Description

Bentley University’s Arts and Performance Organization (formerly known as Alpha Psi Omega) is seeking a Music Director for our fall production of 9 to 5. Production will begin with auditions on September 13th and 14th (or on backup dates of September 6th and 7th), and end with performances on November 14th and 15th (or on backup dates of November 21st and 22nd). A contract will be provided by the University once it has been cleared. Please note that housing and transportation will not be provided.

Requirements

As the Arts and Performance Organization is inclusive to all undergraduate students regardless of experience, candidates should have experience working with college-aged students, as well as limited experience in theater productions, reading music, and onstage performance. The expectations include fostering the development of stronger singers.

Music Directors must be willing to collaborate with the Vice President of Production, who manages all production aspects, as well as the general Director and Choreographer hired for this semester to facilitate rehearsals and teach choreography. Preferred candidates should reside in the greater Boston area and possess a flexible schedule.
