Job Description

We are seeking a talented Data/AI Engineer with expertise in cloud-native platforms and artificial intelligence services to join our central data and AI team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing large-scale, secure, and intelligent data platforms in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining a cloud-based Data Platform using Databricks to meet evolving business and technical requirements.
• Leading the deployment and serving as the technical owner of multiple AI-related services, such as document intelligence and generative AI tools.
• Building and managing data ingestion pipelines to support AI and analytics initiatives.
• Overseeing governance processes, data security, and compliance across cloud services and data components.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on AI and data innovation projects.
• Providing technical leadership in infrastructure design, service integration, and solution architecture.
• Offering guidance to peers and contributing to internal knowledge through documentation and mentoring.

Requirements

Technical Expertise

• At least 3 years of experience working with Databricks in a production environment.
• Hands-on experience with Azure AI Services, including:
• AI Foundry
• AI Search
• OpenAI Service
• Document Intelligence
• Solid experience in Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform.
• Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and ETL pipeline development.
• Competency with Spark for distributed data processing.
• Strong grasp of performance optimization, pipeline scalability, and data modeling best practices.
• Familiarity with data governance and security in cloud environments.

Language Requirements

• Full professional proficiency in English.
• Knowledge of Dutch or French is considered an asset.

Certifications

• If applicable, include Microsoft Azure certifications (specify type).
