Job Description

This is a freelance videographer position for the 2025-26 school year. The role primarily involves filming live sporting games/events across the state of Michigan. The videographer will operate as an independent contractor (1099).

Requirements

Education & Work Experience:

• Preferred certificate or degree in the television field
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in storytelling via videography
• Experience with videotaping live sporting events is a must
• 1-2 years experience with professional grade cameras (not DSLR or mirrorless)
• Experience with advanced multimedia storytelling techniques on multiple platforms
• Experience with voiceover and on-camera reporting is a plus
• Exceptional core video-journalism skills, including a high command of video, sound, camera, lights, computers, and software used to produce visual and audio journalism is required
• Experience in live streaming and live environment is a plus
• Adobe Creative Suite knowledge and experience is a plus
