Job Description

We seek talented and versatile musicians with strong traditional guitar, drums, or ukulele skills combined with music production expertise using Apple GarageBand. The ideal candidate is a creative individual who can seamlessly blend live instrumental performance with digital music production to create captivating music for various projects. Key Responsibilities

• Perform and record live music using guitar, drums, or ukulele for educational, creative, and professional projects.
• Use GarageBand to compose, arrange, edit, and mix music tracks for performances, recordings, or other creative outputs.
• Integrate live instrumental recordings with digital tracks to create polished, professional-quality music.
• Teach or mentor students in traditional instrument techniques (guitar, drums, or ukulele) and introduce essential music production using GarageBand.
• Adapt music for different audiences, styles, and purposes, including live performances, instructional materials, and promotional content.
• Maintain and care for musical instruments and production equipment.
• Stay informed on industry trends, software updates, and new production techniques.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in GarageBand, including composing, editing, mixing, and using effects.
• Skilled in playing and performing with guitar, drums, or ukulele.
• Knowledge of music theory, rhythm, and composition.
• Experience recording live instruments and integrating them with digital tracks.
• Strong creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in team environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field (required).

Preferred Skills

• Experience teaching traditional instruments (guitar, drums, or ukulele) to students of various skill levels.
• Familiarity with other DAWs such as Garageband or Logic Pro.
• Ability to play and adapt music across various genres and styles.
• Live sound recording or audio engineering experience.
• Enthusiasm for experimenting with new sounds and blending traditional and digital music techniques.

Additional Information

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $25.00 - $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 10 per week
