CPA 1: CLINICAL WORK
- Provide competent community-based services in various settings as specified in the patient’s treatment plan.
- Emphasize patient strengths in service provision.
- Assist in outreach and rapport building with new patients.
- Communicate with referral sources throughout treatment.
- Participate in case consultations and treatment meetings.
- Maintain clinical outcomes within Prairie View standards.
- Provide services compliant with ethical standards.
Engage in patient-centered community-based activities including:
- Highlighting patient family’s strengths and resolving issues.
- Crisis intervention services.
- Goal setting and community resource linkages.
- Support and advocacy for patients and families.
- Flexibility in providing services according to patient needs.
Demonstrate competency in working with child/adolescent patients, including:
- Understanding of typical vs atypical behavior.
- Providing effective individual and group interventions.
- Establishing limits and boundaries.
- Knowledge of risk factors and safety interventions.
CPA 2: ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attend meetings and maintain personal records.
- Document treatment interventions timely and cooperatively.
- Organize schedule and prioritize according to needs.
Ensure medical records are completed as per standards.
CPA 3: BILLABLE NORM
- Meet monthly expectations.
CPA 4: ABILITY TO TRANSPORT PATIENTS
- Maintain a valid Kansas Driver’s License and insurance.
CPA 5: COMMUNITY EDUCATION
- Provide community education related to children’s services.
CPA 6: PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
- Complete required training and discuss continuing education plans.
- Participate in workshops and continuing education.
CPA 7: QUALITY ASSURANCE & PERFORMANCE IMPROVEMENT (QAPI)
- Participate in organizational activities and initiatives.
CPA 8: EMPLOYEE CONTRIBUTES TO POSITIVE WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Treat others with respect and maintain a flexible response.
- Collaborate as part of the team.

- Maintain confidentiality and handle problems constructively.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health sciences or equivalent.
- Demonstrated skills in case management.
- At least 20 years of age.
- Good listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to observe patient demeanor for assessment.
- Flexibility in scheduling.
- Maintain Kansas State licensure and CEUs.
- Effective communication with referral sources and care providers.
- Ability to work with children, adolescents, and families.
- Understanding of special needs and behaviors of ages 2 to 18.
- Valid Kansas driver’s license and insurable.
- Ability to pass the physical restraint program.
- Proficient in basic keyboarding/word processing skills.
- Clear background checks required.
