Job Description

West Chester Township has an immediate need to fill a Seasonal Videographer position. The Seasonal Videographer provides production support during the busy fall event and sports season (September 1st – November 15th). The position assists with video production assignments such as live broadcast of high school sports, recording of public meetings, and highlighting community events. The role is part of the Public Information and Engagement team, supporting Township marketing efforts and performing some clerical functions such as preparing reports and maintaining records. This position reports to the Director of Public Information & Engagement and will be part of a team that handles public broadcast, recording, media production, and digital content creation.

The position will be primarily in the field, potentially in inclement weather conditions, with evening and weekend work required. Some office work may be required. This position is required to be available most Thursday evenings, Friday evenings, and occasional Saturdays. This position is seasonal and will require 15-25 hours of work per week. The pay range is $16.00 - $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

Required qualifications include:

• Minimum high school diploma. High school juniors or seniors may be considered with demonstrated video production or editing skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments and public.
• Customer service mindset and ability to interact professionally with the public.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Current valid driver’s license.
• Must be 16 years of age.

Preferred qualifications include:

• Demonstrated experience in video production and editing.

Additional Information
