Do you love photography, have an eye for detail, and approach all tasks, big and small, with a goal to ensure success across all projects? We are seeking a Photography Specialist to join our Food & Beverage and Merchandise team on a Temporary Assignment. We are looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about food & beverage. In this role, you will report directly to the Creative & Photography Manager. Our new team member will work hand-in-hand with creative partners to deliver the highest quality photography in the most efficient and timely manner, planning all workflow logistics from start to finish. This position also supports scheduling, development, production, implementation, and roll-out of photography for Synergy, Special Events, Food & Beverage Media, and New Concepts.
This is a Temporary Assignment with no guarantee of placement.
What You Will Do
- Capture highly visual, engaging photos and videos for the Food & Beverage LOB for menus, marketing, and social needs.
- Take photos and videos for the Merchandise LOB for both Guest and Cast-facing tools and reports.
- Food & Beverage photos include those needed for print menu signage, handheld menus, mobile order, Digital Menu boards, My Disney Experience, Disney Parks Blog, Instagram, and other social media channels/platforms.
- Ensure post-production processes are completed in a timely manner with high-quality products, including editing, cropping, keyword tagging, naming, and distributing to necessary partners across operations and digital teams.
- Post-production processes are completed in an efficient, timely manner with attention to consistency with the Disney Brand.
- Responsibilities include scheduling, reviewing shot lists, preparing props and backgrounds with studio equipment, and loading/unloading to set up for photography sessions across the property.
- Provide videography support, including partnership and collaboration to develop video storyboards, planning logistics, and helping with shooting video reels as well as post-production development.
- Ensure adherence to Disney Brand and alignment with any necessary media standards, food safety and safety standards, location standards, and photography guidelines.
- Provide strong knowledge of food styling techniques and industry-leading trends to apply during photoshoots in collaboration with operation and concept development partners.
- Additional responsibilities include providing storyboarding and planning art direction for stylized shoots.
- Work closely with operations, culinary directors, and executives to help bring concepts to life through visual storytelling.
- Help provide training, guidance, and feedback to peers.
Requirements
- Photography portfolio linked to your resume.
- Expert skills in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and file-sharing systems.
- Understanding of DSLR cameras, lens capabilities, and studio lighting.
- At least 1 year of experience in food photography, including setting up photo shoots, lighting, food styling, backdrop sets, and photo editing.
- Reliable transportation and a valid Florida driver’s license.
- At least 3 years of experience in photoshoots and/or video production.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
- A good understanding of food safety and safety guidelines impacting the F&B business.
- Must have reliable personal transportation; vehicle will occasionally be used to travel to photoshoots and assist with transporting equipment.
- Ability to lift and/or carry a maximum of 50 lbs.
- Required job duties are sometimes performed in a climate-controlled environment, with frequent exposure to the outdoor environment and varied shift times.
Preferred Qualifications
- Well-organized with strong process skills to work in an adaptable and fast-paced environment; adept at keeping multiple programs and projects on track while meeting tight deadlines.
- Master in Premier Pro (Box, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and listening, with strong client skills and flexibility.
- Versatile both conceptually and visually in taking direction and bringing a story to life through the lens of a camera.
- Ability to interact, communicate, and present ideas to cross-functional teams and with executive-level partners.
