Job Description

Are you a talented photographer looking for flexible freelance opportunities? Do you love working with a wide variety of clients and capturing images that help tell a brand’s story? We’re looking for 1–2 freelance photographers to join our extended team and support us with project-based work when our in-house photographer is unavailable or when a different creative style is needed.

As a freelance photographer, you’ll be called on for various client shoots — typically scheduled with 1–2 weeks’ notice. We’re seeking someone reliable, collaborative, and passionate about producing great work.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience and a strong portfolio of past work
• Own your own photography gear (camera, lenses, lighting, etc.)
• Strong understanding of lighting, framing, and post-production
• Ability to take creative direction and also work independently
• Friendly, professional attitude and great communication skills
• Flexibility in schedule — most shoots are scheduled in advance, but occasional short-notice availability is a plus

Typical Projects Include

• Content for social media
• Website hero/header images
• Advertising campaigns (digital and print)
• Team or individual headshots
• Occasional product photography or lifestyle shoots

What You’ll Do

• Capture high-quality imagery on-location at client sites or in-office
• Set up and adjust lighting, angles, and composition to meet project goals
• Work with our team to understand creative direction and shot lists
• Guide clients and subjects comfortably through the shoot
• Edit and deliver final assets on time
• Represent J&R Marketing with professionalism and creativity

Compensation and Work Details

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Freelance

Pay: $50.00 - $125.00 per hour
