Job Description

At 828 Strategy, we believe in combining strategy with storytelling so that businesses don’t just “post” — they show up with purpose. Inspired by Romans 8:28, our mission is to help small businesses and entrepreneurs execute content that is strategic, soul-led, and built to convert. We are seeking a Email Marketing Strategist/Designer to join our growing team, ideal for someone with a grasp on the art + science of email marketing, blending conversion-focused strategy with eye-catching, on-brand design. You’ll work closely with our team to create campaigns that not only look beautiful, but also deliver measurable results (opens, clicks, conversions).

Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in email marketing strategy + design.
• Strong knowledge of ESPs (Klaviyo, Go High Level, or similar).
• Solid understanding of email analytics, A/B testing, segmentation, and automation workflows.
• Design skills (Canva, Figma, or other design tools) with an eye for clean, brand-aligned visuals.
• Strong copywriting/editing skills with attention to detail.
• Self-starter who thrives in a remote, collaborative, purpose-driven environment.
• Bonus: Experience working with small businesses, startups, or faith-driven brands.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop email marketing strategies (segmentation, automation, drip campaigns, promotions, and newsletters) tailored to client goals.
• Design and build visually engaging, mobile-friendly email templates (Klaviyo, Go High Level, or similar).
• Write and refine email copy that aligns with the client voice and drives conversions.
• Set up, test, and optimize campaigns for maximum performance.
• Track key performance metrics and provide clear reports + recommendations.
• Stay on top of email marketing best practices, trends, and design standards.
