2D ANIMATOR FOR SCRIPTED PILOT

2D Animator is needed in Los Angeles, United States.

About the Project

I’m a director and screenwriter with experience directing, writing and creating projects for HBO, Warner Bros, the Chicago Bulls, Adobe, and more. I’m now self-producing my first animated project—an indie sci-fi comedy pilot.

This is a passion project with a reasonable budget and a chance to collaborate on something fun, unique, and story-driven.

Role Overview

I’m looking for a 2D animation generalist (or a small team of generalists) who can wear a few different hats. You’d be helping with:
• Character animation
• Background and layout work
• Light compositing / cleanup
• Contributing creatively to the overall look and feel

Since this is my first time producing animation, I’d love to team up with someone who’s also comfortable guiding me a bit through the process.

⸻

Qualifications
• Strong skills in 2D animation (character + environment)
• Experience juggling multiple aspects of the pipeline (generalist mindset)
• Good communication and collaborative approach
• Bonus: familiarity with indie or small-team production workflows

⸻

Compensation & Details
• Paid (budgeted indie rate – to be discussed based on scope and experience)
• Location: Remote is fine, but Los Angeles–based is a plus for in-person collaboration
• Timeline: Flexible, starting Fall 2025
