Job Description

World of Step Media is a start-up network dedicated to producing and publishing original content on all styles of STEP—an influential art form of communication. We are looking for a passionate creator to join our team as a Videographer/Editor. This role involves shooting and editing small YouTube episodes several times a month, collaborating closely with the Executive Producer (Remo) to ensure all key content is captured. Successful collaboration may lead to opportunities for larger projects, including an upcoming documentary.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Executive Producer on pre-planning and brainstorming for shoots.
• Shoot episodes and capture high-quality content (equipment provided if needed).
• Assemble, organize, and manage raw footage.
• Edit videos from start to finish, including rough and final cuts.
• Ensure clear storytelling, proper pacing, and polished production.
• Edit audio, dialogue, music, and sound effects for a professional finish.
• Upload and optimize completed videos for YouTube.
• Maintain project organization and meet deadlines.

Requirements

• Proven experience or portfolio in videography and video editing.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects, and Photoshop.
• Experience editing audio in Adobe Audition.
• Strong understanding of video storytelling and pacing.
• Familiar with Mac OS and YouTube uploading process.
• Experience with green screen studio filming and basic three-point lighting.
• Skilled in shooting with Canon cameras.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to take feedback and translate it into improved work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Passion or familiarity with the dance/step industry.
• Experience troubleshooting editing software and hardware.
• Live event or on-location production experience.
• Experience working directly with talent and clients.
• Knowledge of branding and video SEO.

Additional Information

Job Types: Internship, Freelance, Contract, Temporary

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 4 per week
