Highway vertical signs inventory
We are seeking an AI and machine learning expert specializing in image recognition for a personal project. The freelancer will develop an application to automatically recognize and extract vertical traffic signs from mobile laser scanning point clouds and geotagged GoPro videos along highways. Input data includes high-resolution 3D point clouds (in LAS format) and GoPro 2.7K video footage, as well as highway axis data. The deliverables will be the accurate position (x, y coordinates) of each traffic sign, detailed images of the signs, and a table with attribute information for each sign as illustrated in the sample files provided via Dropbox. The application should extract sign attributes including type, dimensions from the point cloud, and visible panel inscriptions from images. Sample input data and expected outputs are available for reference.
