Job Description

Nestled Photos is a growing wedding photography company based in the West Michigan area, expanding its teams in both West and East Michigan. The company is looking to add to its current team to manage the increased demand from couples seeking photography services. Nestled Photos prioritizes collaboration among artists and supports sharing of social media, websites, and contact information to enhance visibility. Lead photographers are encouraged to mentor less experienced second photographers.

The lead wedding photographer role is a subcontractor position paid hourly, based on client package purchases. Weddings assigned will be a minimum of 4 hours, and mileage reimbursement is available for trips exceeding 150 miles round trip.

Responsibilities

• Standing for at least 4 hours
• Directing clients for posed photos
• Storing photos for 2 years
• Contacting clients the Monday before the wedding date
• Communicating with the second photographer about major events on the wedding day (if applicable)

Requirements

• Availability on Saturdays and Sundays in May 2025 and beyond
• Dual memory slot cameras and a backup camera required for lead photographers
• All photographers must have an on-camera flash and diffuser
• An updated calendar of availability
• A reliable vehicle
• A wedding portfolio that can be shared with potential clients

Preferred Experience

• Proven experience in photography with a diverse portfolio
• Proficiency in photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom)
• Lead photographers should have 3 wedding seasons of experience
• Videography experience is considered a bonus
