Media Relations Specialist - USA

We are seeking an experienced Media Relations Specialist to support our company, The PR Hook, with US-focused PR efforts. The role involves researching and identifying relevant media outlets, journalists, and influencers, and developing targeted pitch campaigns to secure earned media coverage across print, digital, TV, and podcasts. The specialist should have strong English writing skills, experience crafting compelling pitches, and familiarity with US media landscapes. Responsibilities also include building relationships with US journalists and editors, writing press releases and follow-up emails, tracking media placements, and providing campaign reports. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in PR, media relations, or journalism, especially with US publications, and be comfortable working remotely in a fast-paced environment. Experience with media databases like HARO, Muck Rack, or Cision, and availability to work US Eastern hours are preferred. A portfolio of past earned media placements is a plus.
