Job Description

We’re looking for a skilled Director of Photography/Videographer who can handle solo shoots confidently. You should excel at working with natural light, capturing compelling interviews, shooting smooth cinematic b-roll, and managing equipment on your own. The ideal candidate is hungry, ambitious, and ready to grow with the team - someone who wants to be a foundational member of our creative operations, not just a side gig shooter. This role has a high ceiling: as you grow, you’ll take on bigger projects, more creative input, and become a key part of our production team.

Responsibilities

• Shoot short form interviews and documentary-esque pieces on location.
• Operate camera, audio, and lighting solo (lightweight setups).
• Capture smooth b-roll using gimbals (RS3 Pro, RS4 Pro, or similar) and expertly balance the camera in both horizontal and vertical orientations for social media and other content.
• Excel at shaping and using natural light to achieve beautiful and polished imagery.
• Manage media, maintain gear, and ensure quality footage from shooting to upload.
• Collaborate with the creative team to elevate quality and deliver content that reflects the vision of Multiply X leadership.

Qualifications

• Proven experience shooting interviews, branded content, and/or documentaries.
• Strong gimbal operation skills for smooth b-roll, including vertical orientation for social content.
• Proficiency with professional cameras (Sony, Canon, or similar).
• Basic audio and lighting setup knowledge (Multiply X often uses G4’s).
• Strong work ethic and the ability to create great work without a crew.
• Editing skills are a plus (Premiere Pro, Resolve, etc).
• This is a professional camera role - applicants must have experience with professional gear. We don’t use iPhones for shoots.
• A plus if you have significant experience operating a drone (Mavic 3 Pro, etc) and hold a Part 107 certification.

Shoot Logistics

• Shoots are typically short (1–4 hours), but flexibility is key.
• Must be available for weekday shoots and quick footage delivery turnarounds.

Compensation

• PER-SHOOT RATE: $500.00–$1,000.00 depending on experience and scope.
• Path for top performers to transition from per-shoot compensation to a larger monthly retainer, becoming a core part of the Multiply X team with more steady projects.
