cinematographer / videographer

Cinematographer is needed in Nigeria.

We are looking for a cinematographer or videographer to collaborate with our company, KGeN, on a short-film series called Unfollowers. This global series highlights the hidden lives of online moderators through 90-second cinematic episodes. Our upcoming film is set in Nigeria and follows Osuinii, a young woman who is introverted offline but expressive and confident as an online moderator. The narrative is presented through the playful voices of her sister and online friends, blending Pidgin and English languages.

We want someone local or able to travel to Nigeria, who can create modern, energetic visuals that capture a cinematic yet fun tone, with a dramatic beginning and end and a lighthearted vibe in the middle. You will need to be on site for the shoot, which should only take a day or two. If you are interested in bringing authentic Nigerian atmosphere and personality to this story, please let us know.

Budget range:
Very small project ($250 – 750 USD)

About the client
I’m Arryan Sankhyayan, a Video Producer at KGeN. We’re developing Unfollowers, a global short-film series (90s cinematic episodes) highlighting the hidden lives of online moderators around the world. Our next story is set in Nigeria, following Osuinii — a girl who’s introverted offline but transforms into a lively, confident moderator online. The twist is that the film isn’t told by her, but through the playful voices of her sister and online friends, mixing Pidgin and English. We’re aiming for a tone that’s cinematic yet fun — dramatic opening/ending, lighthearted in the middle, with a modern Nigerian vibe. We’re looking for a freelancer who can bring out authentic local visuals with personality and energy. Would you be interested in collaborating on this project? — Arryan Sankhyayan
