We are seeking a talented cinematographer for an upcoming project in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, as part of KGeN’s global short-film series ‘Unfollowers’. This episode follows the story of Osuinii, a girl who is introverted offline but vibrant as an online moderator, told through the voices of her sister and friends in a mix of Pidgin and English. The project aims to capture a cinematic yet playful tone, with dramatic openings and endings and a lighthearted, modern Nigerian vibe in the middle. You will need to be on-site for the duration of the shoot, working closely with our team to bring authentic local visuals and energy to the screen.

Who are you, and what do you do?
I’m Arryan Sankhyayan, a Video Producer at KGeN. We’re developing Unfollowers, a global short-film series (90s cinematic episodes) highlighting the hidden lives of online moderators around the world. Our next story is set in Nigeria, following Osuinii — a girl who’s introverted offline but transforms into a lively, confident moderator online. The twist is that the film isn’t told by her, but through the playful voices of her sister and online friends, mixing Pidgin and English. We’re aiming for a tone that’s cinematic yet fun — dramatic opening/ending, lighthearted in the middle, with a modern Nigerian vibe.
