Kathyplayzz Project.

Actor is needed in Penn Yan, United States.

I am creating a project called Kathyplayzz, which tells the story of a transgender girl who aspires to become a YouTuber after meeting a new friend on Roblox. The story follows her real-life friend Owen and online friend Andrea as they work together to achieve Kathy’s dream, but things change when Andrea goes missing. Years later, Kathy and Owen document their experiences while trying to uncover what happened to their friend from childhood. The project is an amateur Alternate Reality Game (ARG) with a focus on authenticity, raw emotion, and honest storytelling with a sense of unease, inspired by works like The Florida Project, Marble Hornets, and AlanTutorials. I am a college student passionate about storytelling and I aim to build a unique product and community. I am currently seeking multiple actors: a pre-transition transmasculine person (ages 16-18), a transitioned Hispanic (MtF) girl (ages 19-21), and someone comfortable playing a masculine role (either transitioned or pre-transition MtF). Filming may require a hybrid of on-site and remote participation. This is a long-term personal project with potential follow up work.

A great example of the type of work I am trying to achieve is the Florida project, the true horror and fear is unknowingness and the death of innocence, a fantastic film I suggest to check out!

There is also some arts that follow a similar format to what I want to achieve, I do warn they are uncomfortable and weird to watch. But Marble Hornets and AlanTutorials are good formatting examples of what an arg is, how they function, and what they can mean. (You don’t have to watch too many of these, the main premise is there is a sense of unease. ARGS look like it is independently recorded most times, Some are cryptic and weird, some convey a story, I want to be more story based, however providing the audience with some creative interpretation!)

I am achieving to create an authentic and unique product, and also develop a community.

About the client
I am a college student looking to put my stories out there! I am not an expert at this and won’t pretend to be. I love being able to tell stories and convey messages with what I create. And for anybody who reaches out I hope they want to, too.
