Job Description

AgileEngine is seeking a talented and results-oriented Software Engineer to join our expanding engineering team remotely. In this role, you will help build and evolve our next-generation cloud-based compute platform for digitally delivered life insurance. This is a significant opportunity to make an impact at a high-growth enterprise software company. You will collaborate with other developers and a product manager to develop software that supports a suite of business applications and their global delivery teams, relying on a high-performance, reliable, and extensible backend.

Requirements

Must Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 8+ years of experience writing production-quality code, ideally on core software product development
• Strong proficiency with React and solid experience with NodeJS
• Solid understanding of software design patterns and best practices in frontend architecture
• Experience with Test Driven Development
• Experience designing and building scalable, enterprise-grade cloud-native applications
• Hands-on experience with relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with integrating 3rd party APIs (REST, XML, JSON)
• Exposure to cloud services and DevOps tools (AWS, Docker, Redis, Kubernetes)
• Comfortable working in Pacific Time Zone hours as needed
• Upper-Intermediate English level

Nice to Haves

• Experience developing production code using Typescript
• Familiarity with orchestration platforms
