Job Description

AgileEngine is seeking an experienced Senior AI Engineer to join our elite consulting team. In this role, you will work on diverse internal R&D initiatives and high-stakes client projects, delivering production-ready AI systems that address real business challenges. The position involves deep technical expertise alongside client-facing responsibilities, including architecting solutions, leading implementations, and presenting to C-level executives and technical stakeholders.

Requirements

Must Haves:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong fundamentals;
• 5+ years deploying production machine learning systems at scale;
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with LLMs, including API integration and local deployment;
• Strong data engineering and data science expertise;
• Proficiency with data manipulation tools: pandas, NumPy, SQL, and big data frameworks (Spark, Dask);
• Expert-level Python proficiency with deep knowledge of ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face);
• Proven experience with modern AI techniques: RAG, vector search, prompt engineering, and agentic systems;
• Strong cloud platform expertise (AWS, GCP, Azure) with containerization and orchestration experience;
• Experience building scalable microservices, APIs, and ML inference pipelines;
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage complex projects end-to-end with minimal oversight;
• Exceptional communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership;
• Consulting mindset with the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions;
• Track record of leading technical projects from conception to production deployment;
• Upper-Intermediate English level.

Nice to Haves:

• Previous consulting or client-facing engineering experience;
• Experience across multiple industries (fintech, healthcare, e-commerce, etc.);
• Advanced statistical analysis and experimentation design experience;
• Experience with streaming data platforms and real-time ML systems;
• Contributions to open-source AI/ML projects or technical publications;
• Experience with MLOps, model monitoring, and deployment automation;
• Background in data engineering and large-scale data processing;
• Advanced degrees in Computer Science, AI/ML, or related technical fields;
• Startup or fast-paced environment experience.
