Job Description

We’re producing Shadowverse — a global investigative docuseries about illicit economies, threat convergence, and the hidden systems shaping our world. The series is characterized as raw, handheld, human, gritty, and cinematic, reminiscent of a blend of Anthony Bourdain, Danny Boyle, and Vice.

I’m Sam Rad (Samantha Radocchia), a futurist, anthropologist, speaker, and founder of RAD Original Creations (RADOC) as well as co-producer of Shadowverse Media. I’m looking for a videographer/editor who can travel with me and craft compelling narratives from our captured moments.

Requirements

• Shoot on Location: Travel to various locations (USA cities like DC, NYC; LATAM; Europe; Asia) to capture lived reality, unscripted moments, interviews, fieldwork, and cinematic B-roll.
• Edit: Create 22–25 minute episodes, 90-second shorts, and social media reels with intensity, rhythm, and style while ensuring a consistent output cadence.
• Cinematic World-Building: Incorporate motion graphics, maps, and overlays to shed light on hidden flows of power and trade.
• Daily Social Media: Produce quick edits from field shoots and keynotes optimized for TikTok/IG/YouTube.

Who You Are

• A videographer/editor with documentary instincts and cinematic vision.
• Independently motivated, adaptable, adventurous, and able to work efficiently.
• Interested in geopolitics, security, and contributing to a better future.
• A creative generalist who excels outside conventional production frameworks.

Skills & Interests

• Proficient in video production and editing (Premiere, Resolve, or similar).
• Knowledgeable in motion graphics/animation (titles, maps, overlays).
• Bonus: Familiarity with AI creative tools (Runway, MidJourney, Pika, etc.).
• Exhibits discretion, trustworthiness, and excellent communication skills.

Equipment

Bring your own kit, including a camera, lenses, audio equipment (drone experience is a plus). You will also have access to a Sony ZV-E1, FX3, smaller handhelds, drones, and iPhone for shoots. A minimalist and discreet gear setup is ideal.

Location & Travel

• Based in the NYC area or New Haven, CT (with occasional travel to DC).
• 1-2 days per week of co-located work for review and collaboration in a studio.
• Willingness to manage your own travel for shoots within the contract retainer.

Pay: $4,000.00 - $6,000.00 per month
