Job Description

This part-time telework position in the United States involves highly advanced systems administration in support of agency mainframe applications and their supporting infrastructure. Responsibilities include day-to-day system administration functions such as mainframe configuration, break/fix system support, and user account creation/support. Routine tasks include security administration, performance monitoring, and system maintenance. The candidate will also coordinate mainframe operations within the State’s Consolidated Data Center Services and collaborate with various IT teams to facilitate day-to-day mainframe operations. Experience with Informatica Power Exchange Administration for Change Data Capture processing is desirable.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• 5 years of experience with z/OS Systems Programming (Required)
• 5 years of experience with JES2, z/OS Unix System Services (OMVS), and Storage Management Subsystem (SMS) (Required)
• 3 years of experience with TSS (Top Secret Security) (Required)
• 3 years of experience with performance monitoring, including analysis of performance issues (Required)
• 2 years of experience with REXX (Required)
• 3 years of experience with Informatica Power Exchange Administration (Preferred)
• 3 years of working knowledge of z/OS Operation, z/OS Networking – VTAM, and TCP/IP (Preferred)
• 3 years of working knowledge in z/OS-centric automated job scheduling and management software (JOBTRAC) (Preferred)
• 3 years of working knowledge of SMP/E, RMF, SMF, WLM, JCL, and GRS (Preferred)
• 3 years of working knowledge of VSAM and TSO (Preferred)
• 3 years of experience with TLS configuration (certificates, SSL – RSA Keys, SFTP, FTPS) (Preferred)
• 3 years of experience with SCLM or similar configuration management tools (Preferred)
• 3 years of experience with CPM for JOBTRAC (Preferred)

Additional Information

The expected start date for this position is 10/1/2025, with an end date of 08/31/2026. The position may be renewed for up to 3 years. Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays when the agency is closed.
