Job Description

We are seeking a skilled software engineer for a hybrid role based in Glendale, CA. The position is for a duration of 12 months, offering a rate of up to $89/hr on W2, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for owning end-to-end features (approximately 70% front-end and 30% back-end) for an internal incident management and operations platform.

The role involves aggregating data from multiple tools into a unified interface for incident awareness and decision-making, improving system observability, reliability, and usability, and partnering with teams to unblock dependencies and deliver a cohesive user experience. You will also contribute to code reviews, design documentation, architectural discussions, and mentor mid-level engineers.

Requirements

Must Have:

  • Strong front-end development with TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS
  • Backend proficiency with Node.js and REST API design/integration
  • Experience building internal tools and data-driven UIs (e.g., dashboards, status views)
  • Solid understanding of testing (unit/e2e), CI/CD, and accessibility/WCAG standards
  • Familiarity with cloud fundamentals (AWS/Azure/GCP), Git/GitHub, and config-based deployments (e.g., YAML)
  • Ability to integrate with multiple disparate systems/APIs and normalize data for a single UI
  • Strong cross-team communication, requirements discovery, and stakeholder management skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5–8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on full-stack development and front-end emphasis
  • Proven success in building internal tools or platforms for incidents/operations, SRE, or service health (exposure to ServiceNow/PagerDuty/Grafana/Datadog preferred)
  • Comfortable in a startup-style environment: opinionated yet collaborative, decisive, and customer-centric
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate unclear asks into actionable, scalable solutions

Additional Information

Work Authorization: GC, USC, all valid EADs except OPT, CPT, H1B. This position does not accommodate C2C or 1099 arrangements or subcontracting.
