Job Description

Looking for a Data Engineer who is ready to work onsite at Beaverton, Oregon. Responsibilities include establishing database management systems, standards, guidelines, and quality assurance for database deliverables. This role entails documenting and communicating database design, evaluating and installing database management systems, coding complex programs, and assisting in user interface design. The Data Engineer will also participate in quality assurance, develop test application code, and provide expertise in database structure and organization.

Moreover, the role requires adapting business requirements into data specifications and determining optimal data storage organization. The Data Engineer must understand how tables relate to each other and how fields interact within the tables for a relational model.

Requirements

Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 10 years of directly relevant experience; experience should include comprehensive experience as a business/process leader or industry expert. Alternatives accepted include:

• PhD or Law + 8 years
• Masters + 9 years
• Associates degree + 11 years
• High School + 12 years

Must have 4-6 years of experience with:

• Databricks
• AWS
• Apache Spark
• Python
• PySpark

Previous Nike experience is a plus. Any ETWs let go at end of 05/31 can be considered since the 90-day break would be fulfilled.

Comments for Suppliers: Must be onsite at Nike WHQ in Beaverton for a Hybrid schedule, 4:1.
