Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a dynamic team and contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-level applications. This role requires a strong background in both back-end and front-end development, cloud deployment, DevOps practices, and modern security frameworks. The ideal candidate can analyze complex business processes and deliver scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions.

This is a hybrid role with days per week on-site varying dependent on business needs, offered as a 12-month contract.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Java (Spring Boot) and front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Design scalable, high-performance, and secure solutions for enterprise use.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to align deliverables with business goals.
• Contribute to DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, containerization, automated testing).
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and support iterative development.
• Document, implement, and test software solutions based on user stories.
• Identify recurring issues and design reusable, maintainable solutions.
• Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer within the team.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience as an Application Developer.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and Oracle.
• Front-end experience with Angular, React, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Experience with Microservices architecture and cloud deployment.
• Expertise in RESTful APIs, JSON, and web service integration.
• Strong database skills (both relational and NoSQL).
• Familiarity with message queuing systems (e.g., IBM MQ).
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Maven.
• Knowledge of security frameworks (OAuth 2.0, SAML, OpenID Connect, JWT).
• Background in Agile/Scrum development.
• Test-Driven Development (TDD) and hands-on with JUnit, Selenium.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience across Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Understanding of enterprise software integration and middleware.
• Ability to assess existing systems, identify gaps, and propose targeted solutions.
