Job Description
Next Play Nation is a nonprofit basketball league dedicated to athlete development and community engagement. We are seeking a Director of Content & Media to lead the league’s media presence, create engaging content, and enhance fan engagement. This is a volunteer role with the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the league’s growth and visibility.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute content strategies for the league’s social media, website, and marketing materials
- Oversee video production, photography, and graphics for league games, player highlights, and events
- Manage and grow Next Play Nation Basketball League’s digital presence
- Coordinate live coverage, game highlights, post-game interviews, and feature stories
- Work with league leadership to promote events, sponsorships, and community engagement
- Supervise and collaborate with volunteer photographers, videographers, and content creators
Requirements
- Experience in sports media, content creation, or digital marketing
- Strong knowledge of basketball culture, social media platforms, and video production
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, game-day environment
- Familiarity with tools like Canva, Adobe Suite, or video editing software is a plus
- Passion for basketball and storytelling
