Work Schedule: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. CST

Role Overview

The Entitlements team is seeking a highly skilled Sr. Azure Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and optimize cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role will focus on cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable solutions. The engineer will also mentor junior team members and drive cloud best practices across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and design cloud-native solutions ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for automated provisioning and management.

Collaborate with DevOps teams to build CI/CD pipelines for application deployments.

Implement cloud security principles: IAM, encryption, compliance, and secure networking.

Drive Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices: monitoring, logging, alerting, incident response, disaster recovery.

Remediate security vulnerabilities identified by security teams and ensure compliance.

Design for non-functional requirements including backups, restores, high availability, and scalability.

Act as a mentor to junior engineers, sharing knowledge on cloud architecture and emerging technologies.

Serve as a self-starter, driving initiatives independently while navigating ambiguity.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills & Attributes:

Microsoft Azure Cloud expertise (Postgres, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, Event Hub, Event Grid, Solace, Kafka)

Strong background in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)

Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform

Experience with Identity & Access Management (IAM), data protection, and network security

Hands-on experience with Java and Spring-based applications in the cloud

Strong skills in monitoring, logging, and alerting (Azure Monitor, Logging, Alerts)

Background in Database Operations (backups, restores, replication, failover)

Knowledge of SCRUM Agile methodology

Financial Services domain experience (preferred)

Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Certifications:

Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate

HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
